UPEACE is currently developing a Distance-Learning Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. The degree is designed to reflect UPEACE’s multi-disciplinary approach to the study of peace. The design of the programme builds upon UPEACE’s face-to-face courses and programmes. The programme combines a set of required peace studies courses with a set of elective courses covering various areas related to peace studies such as environmental security, gender, media and terrorism.

The Distance-Learning Masters Degree will target graduate students interested in the study of peace, and professionals working in that field. The availability of the Masters programme on-line will allow UPEACE to reach a wide audience worldwide. With the expansion of information technology infrastructure worldwide, more interested students and professionals will be able to gain knowledge of peace and hopefully put it to practice in their context.

More information will be coming soon about the exact date for launching the programme.
